1. Who is Ridley Scott and why was "Aldebaran" dedicated to him?
Ridley Scott is a British film director. Some of his works include Alien, Blade Runner, Thelma & Louise, Black Hawk Down, and Gladiator (2000). The reason why the song was dedicated to him is because Roma Ryan is a big fan of his as well as Blade Runner.


2. Who are the two people mentioned in "Orinoco Flow", Rob Dickins and Ross?
Rob Dickins was the head of Warner Music UK during the time when Enya was composing her album, Watermark, and was also the executive producer of this album. Ross Cullum, was the album's engineer and co-producer.


3. Who are Miss Clare and Miss Quinn?
Miss Clare and Miss Quinn are actually fictional characters from the works of British author, Dora Jessie Saint (a former teacher), also known as "Miss Read". Some of her novels include Fairacre , Thrush Green Two, No Holly for Miss Quinn (1976), and Miss Clare Remembers (1962).


4. Why do the songs, "Exile" and "As Baile" sound the same?
Although As Baile is an instrumental, it is a vocal version of Exile.


5. The song, "Eclipse", is instrumental, but why does it have lyrics?
The song, "Eclipse", is another version of the song, "Deireadh an Tuath". If you read and compare the lyrics to the two songs, you will notice that the lyrics in "Deireadh an Tuath" are typed backwards in "Eclipse". The lyrics to "Eclipse" are just a vocal part of the piece, and wasn't meant to have lyrics.


6. Are the songs, "Only If..." and "Only If You Want To", the same?
"Only If You Want To", is an early version of the song, "Only If". It appears on a Japanese promotional CD called, The Best of Enya, and doesn't include the French lyrics.


7. What other languages besides English and Irish Gaelic does Enya sing in her music?
Latin, Welsh, French, Quenya, Sindarin, Spanish, Japanese.


8. What is Enya's music categorized as?
Although her music is labeled as New Age, Pop/Rock, and Easy Listening, it's difficult to categorize her music, as she has stated in several different interviews. Enya has said, "The only way I can describe my music is that it's very much Enya - and always will be." She places her music in her own category, which is "Enya", and nothing else.

No. "Celtic Rain" is not an Enya song. It is a song by Mike Oldfield.

No. Enya did not compose any music for the movie, The Last of the Mohicans. It was Randy Edelman and Trevor Jones. Her sister, Moya, sings the song, "I Will Find You" in the soundtrack.

Releases (CDs, DVDs) and Sheet Music/Song Books

1. Where can I find Enya music books or sheet music?
The official discography has a list of music books and sheet music, complete with catalogue number and song list. You can either purchase them from Amazon.com, Sheet Music Plus, or any store that sells them.


2. Where can I find The Celts documentary?
You can purchase the documentary at any store that sells the video, or you can purchase it online (i.e. BBC America Shop).


3. Where can I find the Enya: The Video Collection DVD?
In 2001, the DVD was released only in region 2. It was on the shelves for a number of weeks and it stopped selling because a newer version was being planned - a remaster of the music videos in 5.1 Surround Sound. A region 1 of the DVD is being planned as well and is currently being worked on, but a release date hasn't been scheduled yet.


4. When is Enya going to release her new album? Has a release date been scheduled yet?
A release date for Enya's new Christmas album hasn't been scheduled yet.
